According to data provided by Israel, at least 98 detainees from Palestine have lost their lives while detained starting from October 2023. A rights monitoring body located in Israel has stated that the real number is almost certainly significantly higher, as a result of many of unaccounted for detainees originating in Gaza.

High-Profile Cases

Certain fatalities in custody have been high profile, for instance a 50-year-old healthcare leader who lost his life in confinement after 120 days in confinement.
